He told Peterborough Today: "We went to Scunthorpe expecting to play well and hoping to get a result that would drag them into trouble.
"But instead we delivered a performance that was easily the worst that I've been involved in. I'm not sure how many times I touched the ball, but it wasn't many and I just seemed to spend the match watching them attack.
"It was bitterly disappointing, but these things happen in football and we just have to pick ourselves up and go again
"We want to put on a performance that will make the fans proud of us again."
