Peterborough V Hull at London Road Ground - Match Preview

Posh unchanged for Hull visit

Peterborough have an unchanged squad for the visit of Hull.

On-loan Manchester United duo Scott Wootton and Davide Petrucci could make their home debuts having gone straight into the starting line-up against Nottingham Forest last weekend, with Wootton scoring in the 2-1 defeat.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing was a surprise inclusion in the squad against Forest following the winger's disciplinary issues towards the end of 2012 and he looks like being involved again.

Full-back Craig Alcock and midfielders Nathaniel Knight-Percival and Grant McCann joined Mendez-Laing on the bench at the City Ground and they are pushing for recalls.

Forward Lee Tomlin will complete a three-match suspension while centre-half Gaby Zakuani is still away with DR Congo at the African Cup of Nations.

Hull will be without Sone Aluko and Ahmed Elmohamady.

Leading goalscorer Aluko is nursing a slight tear in his Achilles and could be sidelined for up to eight weeks, while wing-back Elmohamady has been recalled from his season-long loan early by parent club Sunderland.

Nick Proschwitz and Jay Simpson were partnered together up front in the midweek FA Cup replay win at Leyton Orient and could keep their spots, while Liam Rosenior is likely to continue in place of Egypt international Elmohamady, who returned to the Stadium of Light earlier in the week.

Midfielder Tom Cairney is hoping to force his way back into the starting line-up after firing the winning goal at Orient in extra time, while defenders Abdoulaye Faye and Jack Hobbs are expected to be recalled to the starting line-up.

The Tigers, still in second place, are looking to bounce back from last week's home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday - their first loss in 10 matches.
