Posh transfer-list five players

Johnson told the official club website: "There are still a few players that I haven't spoken to because they are out on loan.

"But I've spoken to five players and told them they're not part of our plans for next year."

Geohaghon, 25, only signed from Kettering in November and has three years remaining on his contract at London Road.

Torres, 26, and Appiah, 19, were both initially transfer-listed by the club last summer and have one year left on their current deals.

I bet half the players Johnson says are not wanted will still be here at the end of August at least.

Andrew, 19, has spent time on loan at Cheltenham this season, making 10 appearances.

Johnson said: "All you can do is tell them what the situation is. How they handle that situation is up to them.

"I'm sure they're all good enough players to find new clubs, obviously at the right level for them."

Liam Hatch, Alfie Potter, Rene Howe and Scott Rendell, Shaun Batt, Toumani Diagouraga and George Boyd remain out on loan.

The club have already confirmed that Boyd will leave over the summer after once again rejecting the offer of a new contract.

Batt and Diagouraga could return, but Hatch, Potter, Howe and Rendell look set to be offloaded.

Tommy Williams and Jamie Day are out of contract at London Road and both are due to leave the club

On the recruitment front, Johnson said the club is close to agreeing a deal to keep Wolves loanee Mark Little at London Road.

"Mark wants to be at the club, but all players negotiate and that is what's happening at the moment," he said.

"We've agreed a deal with Wolves and we're now talking with Mark."

Meanwhile, Johnson has confirmed that the club have ended their interest in Brighton loanee Liam Dickinson.

The 24-year-old scored three goals in nine starts for Posh.
