Walsall V Peterborough at Bankss Stadium - Match Preview

Saddlers strong for Posh visit

Walsall continue to boast a fully-fit squad ahead of the visit of Peterborough.

Craig Westcarr bagged a brace and Romaine Sawyers was also on target as the Saddlers got back to winning ways with last weekend's 3-0 FA Cup success over neighbours Shrewsbury.

Manager Dean Smith is unlikely to make any changes for the return to league matters after such an impressive performance.

Peterborough will be boosted by the return of a handful of players.

Midfielders Jack Payne, Danny Kearns and Tommy Rowe missed the Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory over Dagenham & Redbridge with knocks but will recover in time for Monday night's trip to the Midlands. Gaby Zakuani will also come back into the reckoning after a cold ruled out the defender in midweek.

Joe Newell was a late withdrawal against the Daggers after pulling a thigh muscle in the warm-up and will struggle to be fit but fellow midfielder Hogan Ephraim, on loan from QPR, will play at the Banks's Stadium despite coming off with cramp on Tuesday night.

Forward Lee Tomlin will complete his four-match suspension.

Walsall have lost each of their last four meetings with Posh, with the club's last success coming in 2007 courtesy of goals from Danny Fox and Chris Westwood.
