Zakuani set for two-month lay-off

Zakuani missed the start of the season after undergoing groin surgery in May and continued to suffer an issue in the same area up until the new year.

Despite his problems the former Fulham man has managed to feature 17 times for Posh this season.

Kelvin Langmead, who replaced Zakuani after he picked up the injury against the Bees, is likely to be called into the starting line-up for Saturday's trip to Brighton.

The clash against the League One leaders will be Darren Ferguson's first game in charge since returning to manage the club.
