Bennett set on holding Posh place

Bennett told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "After I was injured Gabs came in and did well.

"But hopefully myself and [central defensive partner] Kelvin Langmead will do well enough to stay in the side."

Zakuani has missed the past five matches with a dislocated shoulder but could be in contention for Saturday's trip to Charlton, especially after Posh conceded four goals in drawing at home to Southampton last Saturday.

"When Gabby has played he's done well, we know the ability he's got and to have him back can only be healthy," Bennett said.

But while United have conceded a total of nine goals in their past four matches, Bennett says that is not a problem as long as they keep scoring.

"We got some of the best attacking players in this league and they're our main strength so we must play to that," he said.
