Barry Fry has ridiculed suggestions that Posh manager Darren Ferguson has been lined up to replace under-pressure Hull City boss Phil Brown.

Media reports over the weekend had suggested that Ferguson's job at London Road was under threat because of the teams poor start to the season.

"Several journalists have asked me about Darren going to Hull which is nonsense as far as I'm concerned," Posh director of football Fry has said.

"I spoke to Darren yesterday and obviously he is down because of the results, but he is very confident that things will turn around."
